​Hannah joined Shirley Parsons in 2022 and has been on a thriving journey of learning, contribution, and growth.

Whilst her initial focus was on Construction and Consultancy; Hannah has since broadened her expertise and operates across all areas of HSEQ and covers various sectors.

To date, Hannah has had the privilege of being actively involved in organising and participating in nationwide networking events as well as opportunities to share her knowledge through external webinars on career development and internal training for colleagues both nationally and internationally.

Hannah studied a BSc and MSc in Psychology at University and loves to incorporate this into her every day.

This dynamic and fast-moving business has operations stretching from Whangarei to Invercargill. Reporting to the National Health and Safety Manager, we’re on the hunt for two highly motivated and experienced individuals to take the business onto the next step of their safety journey.Having previously worked in a high-risk environment, you’ll be a proven change agent, able to lead people and drive engagement. Ideally based in Hamilton, we can also consider applications from Christchurch, Auckland or Palmerston North. HSE Advisor Christchurch 14-Month Contract $$$ Open to Rates **Those with a valid Right to Work in New Zealand or Australia are welcome to apply. International applicants will not be accepted at this stage.** Shirley Parsons have partnered with an innovative and well-renowned financer, developer and manager of solar energy projects worldwide. They are seeking a HSE Advisor with a major emphasis on the environmental aspect to compliment a strong HSE team. Working schedule will likely be full-time on site for approx. 3 months until it is fully operational, then flexible working (i.e., on site 2 nights every 3 weeks). The employer is open to working schedule suggestions. Flights/travel and accommodation will be fully paid for and provided for those outside of Christchurch from both New Zealand and Australia. Being part of this team will mean you will 'be the change' on this world's transition to a more sustainable future. The HSE Advisor will be responsible for: Foster effective collaboration, coaching, influence, and communication with Contractors and staff.Actively engage in HSE design risk reviews, pre-mobilization workshops, pre-commissioning workshops, post-construction reviews, and O&M turnover workshops with relevant stakeholders.Conduct regular on-site HSE inspections and audits as per agreed schedule.Coordinate with Safe Work representatives or other regulatory bodies on project matters as needed. The HSE Advisor will have: Excellent working knowledge of New Zealand Environmental legislation and environmental best practice.Working knowledge on contaminated land, environmental development proposals and consent and planning on a construction site.Practical knowledge in operating under a HSE management system (ISO 45001 and ISO 14001).Be a strong influencer, coach and self-starter.Be a team-player with the ability to interact with all levels of professionals.
