About Ben

​​Ben has been working with Shirley Parsons since 2018 and specialises in Quality in Renewables, particularly Offshore Wind.

After spending 14 years in the UK Armed Forces as a Royal Engineer, Ben became a self-employed Quality Consultant for a variety of OEM’s and developers in Europe and Asia for Offshore Wind Projects.

Ben’s priorities centre around understanding his clients needs, building strong relationships, candidate development and using his industry expertise to build localisation teams in new offshore wind markets.

When he’s not at work, Ben is a self-confessed hopeless bike racer and gym goer, but mainly enjoys spending time with his family, exploring New Zealand.

We have an exciting new opportunity with one of New Zealand's leading construction firms. We are seeking a site-based Health and Safety Advisor who can be proactive and visible on the project. Your collaboration and engagement skills will need to be on point as you'll work closely with over 300+ sub-contractors. Suitable candidates will need a proven background within construction (preferably fit-out or commercial) and available for a fairly immediate start. This unique position will see the successful candidate project manage the implementation of ISO 45001 throughout the six business divisions under the group, and provide hands on technical safety support across sites. As Compliance Manager, you will play a pivotal role in implementing, maintaining, and overseeing various electronic management systems and processes.Your responsibilities will encompass quality management, document management, and internal monitoring and reporting.
